Up for sale is a set of seven vintage MCM Japan made by Alfred E. Knobler & Co, Asian Style with birds design, alcohol proof Paper Mâché lacquerware coasters in original case with lid. Measuring 4 1/4" diameter. Showing some wear consistent with use as coasters. Please see photos as part of the description. The box was also taped shut. I cut the tape at the opening to open the box, but did not try to remove the tape as this is a paper product and I thought it might tear.
Very cool vintage product! They feature a variety of tropical birds with lots of gold trimmed foliage. Looks very retro! You may be the only one in your crowd to sport these as a part of your beverage set.
